False Impressions - Jeffrey Archer

So this is my first post so guys be a little supportive and constructive criticism is always appreciated.
So I read this book last week it felt very intriguing from the synopsis at the back of the book but somewhere in between it loses the charm it creates for its readers in the start. The book kind of catches up in pieces in between the story but overall the impact kind of dries out. But you definitely find Jeffrey Archer and his style all too alive in the book, his choice of words, molding situations and throwing off great story punches in between. But the ending is all too predictable with some changes, but you get to know how it is going to end in the first 100-150 pages. Lets analyze some of the main characters of the book-

1.Anna Petrescu- She is the protagonist of the book , with a sharp, photographic mind and cerebral quality , she is a delightful character throughout the book. She came to me as a kind-hearted person who does not want evil to prevail and would correct the wrong by any means whatsoever. She puts her life in danger for people stranger to her hence we can figure out the “empathetic and courageous” part from that.

2.Bryce Fenston – The bad guy who wants everything and everyone according to himself . He is cunning, ruthless, diabolic and fiendish. He is a true villain in all sorts. He is the chairman of a bank called Fenston Finance. He is a collector of art and loves drying people out of their money when they are in huge debts.

3.Krantz-She is an Olympic gymnast , who later becomes an executioner ( the Nazi sort) and then works as a personal assassin.

4.Jack Delaney- A senior FBI agent who is appointed to a case with mysterious murders taking place of three people . He tries to connect all the dots to all the main characters in the book and and hence gets caught in a wild goose chase. He is smart, articulate and patient, that’s what I perceived.

The story revolves around a Van gogh painting and how it gets linked to the lives of all the people putting each one of them in danger and despair. The starting is a perfect take off to hook you to your chairs to know what comes next but after a while you eventually figure out what is going to happen in the end. It is a good read and I will give it a 3/5.Keep hooked to my blog for more reviews on books of fiction. Till then Aloha !
